Southern Cameroon Interim government sends SOS to international community:

A Former British Southern Cameroon called Ambazonia have cried out to the United Nations to wade into the crises between the Southern Cameroon and the Republic of Cameroon.

The Leader of the Interim Government of the Southern Cameroon, Dr. Samuel Sako made the plea at a World virtual Press Conference on the state of affairs affecting the area.

Dr. Sako also called on the UN to concretely resolve the conflict and subsequently resolve the issue of the sovereignty of Southern Cameroons, called the Ambazonias, once and for all, through Internationally Mediated Negotiations.

He said the six years war in Southern Cameroons, was based on unaddressed long-standing grievances, dating back to the colonial era hence the urgent need for the international community to wade in to resolving it

Dr. Sako said the Republic of Cameroon’s President, Paul Biya has labelled them “terrorists” and has disinclined to any form of inclusive mechanism to end the war, a development he described as unfair by any standard.

The Ambazonia leader said as a result, over two million were displaced and so many had been killed, while many others remained the victims of La Republique du Cameroon’s forces of occupation.

Dr. Sako accused the media for under-reporting what he described as an onslaught of genocidal proportions that has remained one of the highly under-reported wars in recent times.

The Interim Leadership also appealed to Nigeria to continue to support refugees from the Southern Cameroon with various humanitarian needs as he called on the federal government of Nigeria to support the quest to liberate the people of Southern Cameroon. .
